Victorian texts added to this page can cover any aspect of education -- schools of all types, the move towards compulsory education, governesses and tutors within the homes, the training of teachers, the formation of professional degree programs, the admittance of women to universities, and so on.  Please limit texts on this page, however, to items dealing with education in the systemic sense of forms of schooling or technical training rather than interpreting the term more loosely to mean "learning about something."
